What is 8 Traxx at Andrews Upstairs like?
Well, come on in and see for yourself. 8 Traxx at Andrews Upstairs is conveniently located in Atlanta's world famous entertainment district, Buckhead. We pride ourselves on being an upscale entertainment spot catering to young Atlanta, bringing back the excitement to Buckhead in Andrews Square. Featuring a dance party Thursday through Saturday, Video DJ Prism will spin 70s,80s, 90s and today's best dance hits plus select live performances. 8 Traxx Disco at Andrews Upstairs has a 1,000 square foot dance floor, a huge disco ball, lava lamps and intelligent lighting. We are also a great special event venue for corporate parties, wedding receptions, mitzvahs, class reunions, and fundraising activities. We provide a unique setting for any occasion.

Andrews Entertainment Complex is located at 56 East Andrews Drive in Atlanta, Georgia in Buckhead's West Village. We are on the corner of East Andrews Drive and Cains Hill Road.

What are your hours?
Sunday - Wednesday: open when we have shows or private events.
Thursday - Saturday: 9 P.M. - 3 A.M.

How can I get tickets to 8 Traxx at Andrews Upstairs shows?
If you would like to purchase tickets online you may do so at http://www.ticketalternative.com or at the door on the day of the show. Tickets are only available at the Box Office on the night of the show when the doors open. If you would like to purchase tickets by phone please call 1-877-725-8849.

What is seating like at 8 Traxx at Andrews Upstairs?
8 Traxx at Andrews Upstairs is a general admission venue with some VIP seating available for reservation. Otherwise, seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. The three level intimate layout provides an excellent view of the stage, 1000 square foot dance floor and our 16-foot video screen from any seat in the house.

  • 8 booths that can hold up to 6 people comfortably. These are available for reservation on a per event basis.
  • 14 tables and chairs.
  • Two long ledged bars with seating that overlook the dance floor.

What time do doors open for a show?
Doors are usually open at 9:00 pm, approximately an hour before show time.

When do shows start?
Door and show times vary depending on the night's line-up (how many opening acts there are, what day of the week it is, etc.). Check our calendar to find the time for a particular show. Typically shows during the week are earlier than those on weekends.

How many people can 8 Traxx at Andrews Upstairs hold?
8 Traxx at Andrews Upstairs has a capacity of 400. The dance floor can fit up to 150 people.

Is 8 Traxx at Andrews Upstairs handicapped accessible?
Yes, 8 Traxx at Andrews Upstairs is a handicapped accessible facility and if you need special assistance, please let a security member know.

How old do I have to be to get into 8 Traxx at Andrews Upstairs?
Andrews Upstairs shows are 21 and up unless otherwise noted. Each patron will be carded upon entry and it is by GA law that anyone under 30 be carded, and must have a valid ID.

Can people smoke in 8 Traxx at Andrews Upstairs?
Yes. There is no so-called "designated area" for smokers so if you do decide to smoke, please be considerate of others. Cigarettes are available at the bar, but remember smoking is bad for you.

Do you have a V.I.P. area?
Our V.I.P. loft can fit up to 25-30 people with high top tables and chairs. It has its own private bar, three TVs, and overlooks both the music room and the main bar. This area is available for private functions by reservation. The music venue also has booths and tables which can be reserved.

Is food available at 8 Traxx at Andrews Upstairs?
Occasionally, we'll have dinner and a show. Otherwise, our sister establishments downstairs and next door, East Andrews Cafe, Cellar 56 and Stout Irish Sports Pub have excellent food.

What kind of drinks do you serve?
We have an assortment of premium beer, wine, and spirits as well as sodas and bottled sparkling or spring water.

Where can I park?
There is ample parking located next to Andrews Upstairs. Parking is free on Sunday-Thursday and is $10 on Friday and Saturday.

What is your policy on underage drinking and drug use?
We have a zero tolerance policy for underage drinking and illegal substances and we will prosecute violators to the full extent of the law. We have an off-duty police officer on the premises nearly at all times and he will take you to jail.

Are there cabs available near 8 Traxx at Andrews Upstairs?
Yes. Towards the end of the night, taxis are usually lined up on Cains Hill Road or in our parking lot. If you or someone you're with is slightly impaired before, during or after a show, just let a staff member know that you would like their assistance. We participate in a free cab service called Safe Ride Home.

If I left my credit card at the bar. How do I get it back?
We keep all credit cards in the manager's office after we close for the night. Our bartenders close out your tab for you and add tip onto the subtotal. You can pick up your card during office hours or when the bar is open again. If the card is left over an extended period of time, we cut the cards up and discard them.

Is there a good restaurant nearby where I can enjoy a meal before the show?
Why yes, there is. Located directly below 8 Traxx at Andrews Upstairs are our sister establishments, East Andrews Cafe and Cellar 56. They are the perfect spots to grab a delicious meal before a show.

Is there an ATM located inside of 8 Traxx at Andrews Upstairs?
Yes. There is one located inside by the front door.

Do you have a coat check?
Yes, we have one by the front door beside the stairwell. Like coats, the coat check is seasonal and only used during the winter months.

Does 8 Traxx at Andrews Upstairs allow audio and videotaping or cameras?
We do allow audio taping BUT (and this is a big BUT) only if the artist approves. We discourage the use of video cameras and film cameras because the bright lights and flashes distract the artists and also disrupt other patrons' experiences. Please be prepared. If you need batteries, outlets, extension cords, etc. the club does not provide these items for you.

What can't you bring into 8 Traxx at Andrews Upstairs?
In this respect we are like an airport - no weapons, no illegal substances, no mace, no glassware, and NO alcohol. We take security very seriously and if you have any problems, please contact a manager or a member of the security staff. If you are caught with any of these items on you, you will be asked to leave immediately without question.

Can you rent 8 Traxx at Andrews Upstairs?
Yes! If you are interested in renting out Andrews Upstairs for your corporate event, private concert, party, reception, reunion, etc., please call (404) 869-1132, ext. 102.

Do you have a lost and found?
Well sort of. If an item such as clothing, a purse or phone is left behind or turned in, we will keep them and try to track down the owner to claim their misplaced item. It's not a bad idea to call the club and check.

Who has played at Andrews Upstairs?
National acts have included Lenny Kravitz, Hanson, Def Leppard, Collective Soul, Jessica Simpson, Sister Hazel, MAROON 5, Sarah McLachlan, Avril Lavigne, Switchfoot, Lifehouse, and most recently The Backstreet Boys, James Blunt, Nick Lachey, The Fray and Hinder. Other great bands we've had play are Big Sky, the Blue Dogs, The Connells, Emma Gibbs Band, Jupiter Coyote, Whild Peach, Hayseed Dixie, Indecision, Kevn Kinney of Drivin' n' Cryin', and Rev. Jeff Mosier of Blueground Undergrass, Kudzu Kings, Col. Bruce Hampton and the Codetalkers, Patterson Hood, Tishamingo, Bluestring, Brian Vander Ark of the Verve Pipe, Marty Lloyd of the Freddy Jones Band, Ian Moore, Shawn Mullins, Glen Phillips of Toad the Wet Sprocket and the Lost Trailers as well as acts like 80's cover bands Hairbanger's Ball, Frontiers, The Breakfast Club and Mel & the Party Hats.

Will I see any famous people?
Depends on the night you come. Since we've opened... US Tennis Pro Cary Franklin, several Atlanta Hawks, Braves and Thrasher players, Eli Manning, Atlanta's own American Idol host Ryan Seacrest and contestant Diana DeGarmo, NBA analyst Charles Barkley, Party of Five's Jeremy London, Chris Klein, Chris Katan, Fear Factor's Joe Rogan, Butch Walker, SPANX's Sara Blakely, Kenny Chesney, Ed and Dean Roland of Collective Soul, Stacy from American Hi-FI, and R&B producer Dallas Austin plus reality show contestants from Mr. Personality, Married By America, Rebel Billionaire, MTV's Real World and Road Rules plus Miss Universe. Some of these folks are even regulars.
